From Tennessee Standout to the National Stage: Congratulations, James Shirey!

Congratulations to James Shirey of Harrison Construction for competing in the 20th Annual NRMCA National Mixer Driver Championship at ConcreteWorks 2026 in Nashville!

The Tennessee Concrete Association (TCA) sponsored James’s participation in recognition of his achievement as one of Tennessee’s top Rocket Start performers in 2025. His trip to the national championship provided an opportunity to celebrate that dedication alongside outstanding concrete delivery professionals from across the country.

The championship featured 125 Concrete Delivery Professionals from 41 states, where drivers demonstrated the knowledge, precision, and professionalism it takes to be the best at what they do. Through driving and stationary challenges, vehicle inspection, and a written examination, competitors put their skills to the test on a national stage.

The excitement doesn't end in Nashville! Highlights from this year's National Mixer Driver Championship are also expected to air in 2027 as part of ESPN's The Ocho programming.

For James, this recognition reflects a commitment that extends well beyond competition day. His Rocket Start achievements include a 12-month High Quality Streak—a meaningful example of the consistency and pride he brings to his profession.
