ACI CERTIFICATIONS DESCRIPTIONS

ADHESIVE ANCHOR INSTALLER & INSPECTOR

Adhesive Anchor Installer: An Adhesive Anchor Installer is an individual who has demonstrated the ability to read, comprehend, and execute instructions to properly install adhesive anchors in concrete. 

Adhesive Anchor Installation Inspector is an individual who has demonstrated the knowledge required to properly inspect the installation of adhesive anchors in concrete. The Inspector must understand the responsibilities and qualification requirements of the Installer, inspection requirements as cited in the documents governing the construction of the project, and the process governing the qualification of anchor systems.

An Aggregate Base Testing Technician is an individual who has demonstrated the knowledge and ability to properly perform, record, and report the results of basic field and laboratory procedures for aggregates and soils.

AGGREGATE TESTING TECHNICIAN LEVEL 1

Aggregate Testing Technician Level 1: An Aggregate Testing Technician Level 1 is an individual who has demonstrated the knowledge and ability to properly perform, record, and report the results of basic field and laboratory procedures for aggregates. 

AGGREGATE TESTING TECHNICIAN LEVEL 2

An Aggregate Testing Technician—Level 2 is an individual who has demonstrated the knowledge and ability to properly perform, record, and report the results of advanced laboratory procedures for aggregates.

CONCRETE CONSTRUCTION SPECIAL INSPECTOR

Concrete Construction Special Inspector: A Concrete Construction Special Inspector is a person qualified to inspect and record the results of concrete construction inspection based on codes and job specifications. The program covers inspection during preplacement, placement, and post-placement operations. 

CONCRETE FIELD TESTING TECHNICIAN - GRADE 1

Concrete Field Testing Technician - Grade I: A Concrete Field Testing Technician - Grade I is an individual who has demonstrated the knowledge and ability to properly perform and record the results of seven basic field tests on freshly mixed concrete. 

CONCRETE FLATWORK TECHNICIAN Exam Only

Concrete Flatwork Technician: A Concrete Flatwork Technician is a person who is knowledgeable about proper procedures to place, consolidate, finish, edge, joint, cure and protect concrete flatwork, but who lacks sufficient work experience to qualify as a Concrete Flatwork Finisher.

A Concrete Flatwork Finisher is a craftsman who has demonstrated the ability to place, consolidate, finish, edge, joint, cure and protect concrete flatwork. 

CONCRETE FLATWORK TECHNICIAN Class & Exam

Concrete Flatwork Technician: A Concrete Flatwork Technician is a person who is knowledgeable about proper procedures to place, consolidate, finish, edge, joint, cure and protect concrete flatwork, but who lacks sufficient work experience to qualify as a Concrete Flatwork Finisher.

A Concrete Flatwork Finisher is a craftsman who has demonstrated the ability to place, consolidate, finish, edge, joint, cure and protect concrete flatwork. 

CONCRETE LABORATORY TESTING TECHNICIAN - LEVEL 1

A Concrete Laboratory Testing Technician - Level 1 is an individual who has obtained concurrent certifications as both ACI Concrete Strength Testing Technician AND ACI Aggregate Testing Technician- Level 1. Certification credentials will be automatically issued upon successfully obtaining concurrent certifications as both ACI Concrete Strength Testing Technician and ACI Aggregate Testing Technician Level-1.

CONCRETE LABORATORY TESTING TECHNICIAN LEVEL 2

Concrete Laboratory Testing Technician - Level 2 : A Concrete Laboratory Testing Technician - Level 2 is an individual who has demonstrated the knowledge and ability to properly perform, record, and report the results of advanced laboratory procedures for aggregates and concrete. 

CONCRETE QUALITY TECHNICAL MANAGER CERTIFICATION

CONCRETE STRENGTH TESTING TECHNICIAN

Concrete Strength Testing Technician: A Concrete Strength Testing Technician is an individual who can demonstrate the knowledge and ability to properly perform, record, and report the results of four basic laboratory procedures related to the determination of concrete compressive and flexural strength. 

CONCRETE TRANSPORTATION CONSTRUCTION INSPECTOR

Concrete Transportation Construction Inspector: A Concrete Transportation Construction Inspector is a person who has demonstrated proficiency in concrete inspection methods for transportation projects, including preplacement, placement, and post-placement operations. 

SELF CONSOLIDATING CONCRETE TESTING TECHNICIAN EXAM

A Self-Consolidating Concrete Testing Technician is an individual who has demonstrated the knowledge of and ability to properly perform five standard test methods and practices on self-consolidating concrete. To learn more:
