Spook Spann Estate

Sloan Construction Services, producer of custom in-ground swimming pools, and Nashville Ready Mix worked together to create the Spook Spann swimming pool. The stamped concrete decking consisted of a stamped Ashlar Slate pattern flanked with boarders stamped with a Roman Seamless texture mat. Rings with keys were integrated into the design that provided function with elegance. The rings were positioned so control joints could be established to relieve stress to the concrete slabs.

It was important that the stamped concrete matched the exterior stone of the house, so a light buff color hardener was used in the Ashlar Slate stamped areas. The liquid release used was tinted a chocolate brown powdered release to aid in the color depth of the finished product.

After completion of the stamp work, the design was brought to life with water based color wash.  Four different colors were used to detail each individual stone in the massive pool deck. The color wash helps to create a product that looks like stonework, not stamped concrete.
