Washington, DC, October 27, 2010. — The Concrete Producer and Concrete Construction magazines selected projects in eleven categories for the Third Annual GreenSite Awards. The winning projects best exemplify the concrete industry’s contribution to sustainable construction.

Among the projects chosen were an art museum in Pennsylvania, an office tower in New York City, a reservoir in Annapolis, Mo., the Olympic Village in Vancouver, a high-rise in Los Angeles, and a private residence in Tampa, Fla. Many of the winners already have been certified as Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) projects by the U.S. Green Building Council.

“Once again, the concrete production and concrete construction communities have demonstrated that concrete is at the forefront of the sustainability movement,” said Tom Bagsarian, editor of The Concrete Producer. “The nation and the world will turn to concrete as sustainability strengthens its foothold even more.
