Juliet and Lebanon and the county in which they are located - Wilson County - are experiencing rapid growth. Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF) The upscale Gettysvue subdivision in West Knoxville contains a unique house built by Randy and Corry Susong, both experienced realtors and developers - their three story 6,200 ft2 home uses insulated concrete forms (ICF) for the exterior walls. Other than the wide window sills, it is not obvious to the casual observer that the exterior walls are made with 8 inch ICF. However, their neighbors know. The Susong electric bill averages approximately $500 less per month than their neighbors. In addition, many of their close neighbors half-jokingly tell Randy that during a tornado or earthquake everyone in the neighborhood will congregate in the Susong house for protection. |
